Jim and David saved the day! These guys were amazing in helping me fulfill my sons dream of having a pool table. They moved a 7ft slate table from one basememt to the next. They didn't try to upsell me on anything and left me with a lot more knowledge on billiards and accessories than I had before hiring them. They took the time to restore the table in much better condition than what i bought it in. Its beautiful! I was more than pleased with the work Jim and his grandson Dave did on my pool table. They replaced the felt and bumpers along with leveling. I was really impressed with the care they put into every step of the process even measuring the distance from the interior walls of a large basement to the different sides of the tables. Just to make sure the table was absolutely square with the room it was in. Be sure to ask Jim to show you all the pics of the tables he has done for several Detroit pro athletes .

I was a bit skeptical of giving a deposit via Zelle, but i saw the aother reviews and took a chance. I am glad i did. Frank was honest and receptive and answered all of my questions. Once ordered the process took a bit of time but Frank had warned me of this ahead of time. The delivery and set up was easy and smooth. Very nice people. Jim was awesome to work with. I got a table from a friend and I didn't know much about it. Jim knew exactly what I was dealing with and took care of everything. He accommodated my busy schedule and offered a variety of options (cloth, positioning, a lot of things I didn't think about!) Great Experience and are really happy with the table and his work!

Jim and his crew moved my Wolverine table from the basement to the first floor with a tricky corner coming out of the basement. They were professional, detail oriented and fairly priced. And we learned a lot about the table which was an added bonus. I would recommend Jim and Affordable Billiards to anyone and everyone.

Jim and his crew of two other guys were able to break down my old 1960s one piece slate top table, drive it across town and reassemble it with new cloth all within two and a half hours. This table needed to be moved out of one basement and into another. The crew was careful with it and worked effectively. The price was much less than any other quote I received for the job. Watching these guys work, it was clear that they had\r moved plenty of these old pool tables and had a good system in place that maximized efficiency. If I were to move again in the future, this company will again be moving my table.

I purchased a house with an old table that needed new cushions and felt in order to play correctly. Jim came and got the cushions one week, and was back the next week to install the new cushions and felt. My table plays like new now and would recommend Jim to anyone!

It is clear Jim Pipes has been doing this for years. He came highly recommended by the estate sale company from which I purchased a pool table. He relocated it for me with relatively short notice. He helped select and position the table in the perfect spot, measuring to be sure it had clearance from all angles. Being a bit of a perfectionist, I appreciated that he also made sure it was square with the walls. Jim noticed a previous repair to the base and reinforced it. He leveled the base and the table top. Jim was pleasant to work with and explained the process to me as he assembled the table. He also gave me information about how to maintain pool cues and brush the table to extend the life of the felt top. He was knowledgeable about various models of pool tables, and types of felt that are available. He was responsive and professional from initial contact to completion. I understand he also sells pool tables. So, if you don’t have one yet, it would be worth your time to check into his inventory.
